The Kotlas-Waterville Area Sister City Connection is pleased to announce that MARILYN HALL is its 2018 honoree. At the April 21, 2018 Opera House ceremony, Marilyn was escorted by Connection members Phil Gonyar and Carl Daiker as she received her award from REM Partners.

Marilyn has been a member of the Executive Committee since 2010, and during that time she has graciously hosted many teacher and student guests from Kotlas. Marilyn has also been hostess for many lobster feasts and Italian dinners for visiting delegations from Kotlas. Each year she has led cooking sessions for the Connection's annual Russian Sampler day for area junior high and high school students. Marilyn steps in everywhere to help out when help is needed.

In addition to her volunteer work with the Connection, Marilyn, a retired teacher, has served as President of the Maine Education Association Retired and as President of the Kennebec Retired Teachers Association. She has kept her hand in teaching as a volunteer teacher at the George Mitchell School and as a volunteer with the Waterville Area Literacy Program.

Marilyn's lifelong devotion to education and to teaching has added spirit to our many educational outreach programs. That is why she is a treasured member of the Connection. We are proud of her and her REM Partners award.
