New Officers and Other Members Elected to Executive Committee

At its annual meeting, the Kotlas Connection elected an executive committee to serve in 2010. The meeting was held on November 18, 2009, in the REM Forum in The Center in downtown Waterville.

First, Martha Patterson was elected as a co-chair of the Kotlas Connection, replacing Carl Daiker. Daiker will take over as treasurer from Cindy Rowe. The Connection expressed its appreciation to Cindy for her dedicated service as treasurer for over a decade. Our other two officers, co-chair Ellen Corey and secretary Julie Stowe continued in their positions and will be up for re-election at the next annual meeting.

Elected to one-year terms as at-large members were Mary Coombs, Joe Couture, John Engle, Mark Fisher, Herb Foster, Phil Gonyar, Ken Green, Jack Mayhew, Pauline Mayhew, Sheila McCarthy, Mary Ellen Miner, Cindy Rowe, Greg Smith, and Mike Waters. Finally, as mayor of Waterville, Paul LePage continues as an ex officio member of the committee.

The meeting also included the presentation of annual reports by outgoing treasurer Cindy Rowe and co-chairs Carl Daiker and Ellen Corey. The meeting concluded with a presentation by Ellen Corey, Carl Diaker, Phil Gonyar, and Julie Stowe, members of the American Sampler delegation that visited Kotlas last April.
